Please contact our secretary Bridie between 10am and 12.30pm (Mon-Thurs) if you wish to arrange an appointment with a member of staff. We encourage positive, transparent, and regular communication between home and school. If you have any concerns or queries regarding your child’s progress, school plans, policies or procedures, don’t ever hesitate to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss these with you.
Ms. Angela Dunne is the school’s DLP (Designated Liaison Person) appointed to deal with Child Protection Concerns. In her absence Nina Scott is the Deputy Designated Liaison Person.
Mgr. Dooley is the Acting Chairman of our very hardworking Board of Management.
Please note that there is a very pro-active Parents Association in Loughmore NS and your involvement is hugely important in both your child’s education and also in the creation and perpetuation of a positive, inclusive and progressive school community. All parents are automatically members of the Parent Association and are therefore encouraged to attend PA meetings, which take place usually on the First Tuesday of each month at 8pm. Please note that while all suggestions and queries are welcome at PA meetings, it is not a venue for airing grievances regarding a particular teacher/staff member or the school. There is a specific Parental Complaints Procedure to be followed in such instances. We ask that you would afford us the opportunity to follow this procedure and contact us in a timely manner in order for us to effectively deal with any difficulties/issues you may have. We cannot appropriately address any issue that is not brought to our attention through the proper channels. This procedure and other relevant and important school policies are outlined under the Policies Section of our website www.loughnorens.ie Please bear in mind that at all times we are here to help and to do the very best that we can for your children, within the time, staffing and financial constrains placed on schools.
We strive to provide your child with an enjoyable, fruitful and holistic education in Loughmore NS, in collaboration with our exceptional school community.
